Shadow of the Vampire is the story of a producer who heads off to shoot a genuine vampire movie and has a motive that is completely hidden. The movie stars John Malkovich and Willem Dafoe which is a motivation that is instant to see it since both are extraordinary performing artists. The movie that was released in the year 2000 is a clearly fan top choice as it comes at number 1 on our list of fans’ favorite vampire movies.

2. Three Way Tie:  My Best Friend is a Vampire, Life Force, and Fearless Vampire Killers

George Romero is very well known for his famous zombie movies, yet he was not a complicated man making a foray into the genre of vampires with Martin. Martin is the story of a man who is young and who is persuaded he is a vampire and tries to make up for himself from his bleeding urges.

4. John Carpenter’s Vampires

For me and my generation, John Carpenter is few of the most valuable horror directors. I am least bothered who you bring up against him, he will at present stay in the Top 13 for me, regarding directors who have helped the most to the horror genre. Vampires are a group of human blood hunters obviously and they are controlled by the Catholic Church. They discover that they are being hunted by something different altogether. John Carpenters’ Vampires is actually an incredible movie with an excellent cast that is led by James Woods.

5. Daybreakers

It feels good that the movie Daybreakers makes the list since I think it is a vampire movie that is refreshing and that offers an angle that is very rare to a genre as old as time. Also, it actually happens to star one of my all-time favorite actors Ethan Hawke! The movie’s concept is a about a plague that has turned everybody into vampires and the humanity’s last is being hunted down and tended for blood.

6. Underworld

underworld

The Underworld movies are packed with action and adventure horror which feature our most favorite actress and mom Kate Beckinsale! Underworld is the story of Lycans and Vampires and their war that is going on for centuries as well as the humans that are stuck in between. The complete series is extremely solid, but for me, the first part is absolutely the best.

7. Let Me In

The Swedish movie Let the Right One In’s remake ‘Let Me In’ is actually an interesting movie and is one of the very few worthwhile remakes ever made. Let Me In is a good movie and a lot of people agree. Some say remakes are worthless most of the time, but I disagree when it comes to this movie.

Matt Reevs was the director of this movie.  He became famous with Cloverfield as well as actresses Chloe Moretz.  She is one of those actresses who are extremely talented in Hollywood. Let Me In is a story that is traditional of teen love with a somber twist.

8. BLADE

For me, the movie Blade is the one that Wesley Snipes will surely be remembered for. Blade is the story of a day strolling half vampire and half human who takes out his resentment on the vampires who murdered his mother. David Goyer made up the screenplay and did an incredible job. He has gone since on to write few of the largest and best movies of comic book, which includes Man of Steel as well as the new Dark Knight Movies.

9. Salem’s Lot

Salem’s Lot was written by Stephen King in 1975. In 1979, his novel was also turned into a movie. This movie is one my favorites. Salem’s Lot and Night of the Living Dead were the two movies that scared the hell out of me when I was a kid.

The movie Salem’s Lot is the story of an author and a number 1 horror fan who must beat off vampires as soon as they take full control on their dull town.

10. Dracula 1931

Dracula

I am quite sure the horror fans are very happy to see that this movie has made in the list of top 13 list. The Dracula was released in 1931 and directed by Tod Browning. It is a must see one. He also directed Mark of the Vampire.

11. Horror of Dracula

This movie lands at number 11 on the list because only the horror fans know how brilliant this movie was when they first watched it. The movie Horror of Dracula was released in the year 1958 and starred Christopher Lee as Dracula and Peter Cushing as Doctor Van Helsing.

12. Bram Stoker’s Dracula

Francis Ford Coppola’s Dracula is a movie that will be remembered forever and ever. The entire film was refined with an amazing cast, an incredible script as well as a great sound track. The movie starred Anthony Hopkins as Van Helsing, Keanu Reeves as the hero who was dim-witted, Gary Oldman as Dracula, Winona Ryder as Dracula’s lost love, Anthony Hopkins as Van Helsing and Keanu Reeves as the dumb hero.

13. 30 Days of Night

David Slade was the director of 30 Days of Night. This movie is based on the comprehensive novel sequences of the same name.  This, for me, is without a doubt one of the best and most interesting vampire movies ever created. For sure, it was helped by a great source material; nonetheless 30 Days of Night offered an incredible cast, an absolute visual look as well as without a question insane tension and violence. The 30 Days of Night vampires are extremely scary looking. You will get goose bumps when you see them! Also, the sequel which was made and released previously was equally great.

So, there you go. These are a few of the all-time best horror movies of Hollywood.
